Our Hospital Stay

While we were still in the delivery room and they were done poking and prodding me and Maia, the nurses decided to give Maia her first bath. It was fun to see her experience this and she was pretty good about it. She wasn't quite sure what was going on at first and let us know about it but she calmed down once she was put on the warming pad.

A perfect shot of her sweet little cone head.

On the warming pad before her bath.

The nurse prepping for the bath.

Her first sponge bath.

Getting her hair washed.

Not a big fan but I really don't blame her it's not the same as being in the womb.

All clean!

Checking to make sure everything is prefect. I love the cone head!

Her first tanning session...

Chilling under the warm lights.

She loves her hands!

I couldn't get enough of her feet.

Sean was pretty exhausted after the whole laboring ordeal and was out cold pretty quickly.

Sean snuggling a bit with this bundle of joy.

Wide awake and alert.

On Tuesday Sean was able to hang out and just spend some nice bonding time with both of us. We just chilled, tried to recover, and enjoyed learning all about this beautiful child that our Father in Heaven has entrusted us with.

On Wednesday, Sean had to head to work to help run a couple home games and that left me and Maia to have some great bonding and sleeping time.

In this picture Sean was wondering if she was hungry... I think she was. We were learning all about her rooting reflex.

Love love love the way Sean looks at her! We were just hanging out while waiting to get checked out of the hospital.

One of my breakfasts.

Maia hanging out in the nursery, waiting to be checked out by the pediatrician and ultimately get out of the hospital.

Her third physical of sorts. Just a bit of being handled, poked and prodded.

Waiting for the nurse to come and let us leave. She is all dressed and ready to leave. She was enjoying her snuggle time with her painho(daddy).
