Saying goodbye

We had such a good visit and it was sad to leave family and the good times. It is also hard to leave when your not sure when your going to see your family again.

We took a couple pictures with grandma befor we took off.

Thank you mom and papa for all that you do and for such a wonderful vacation!

Sledding

The day after Christmas, Bradley's family came over so we could all go sledding.

Here is Maia and Jason playing. Maia is ready to but she had to stop and give Jason a sweet hug.

Walking to the sledding spot.

Maia and her Daddy.
She wasn't quite sure about walking in the snow but was willing to give it a try.
Maia's first sledding trip!

She again wasn't quite sure about it.

This is the way Maia and Ezra ride in a sled.

Cute little cousins.

My parents do live in a beautiful place. The sun was starting to set on the mountains.

I had to take a few pictures of the two loves of my life!

My Uncle Grants kid, Grant Micheal, came sledding with us as well. He is from Florida and doesn't get to see snow to often. He thought it was a novelty to see so much ice so he decided that he wanted to crawl through the drain pipe. I'm glad he didn't get stuck.

We had such a good time and I'm so glad Bradley was good with coming to back to Baker to go sledding. It was so nice to see them again and to be close to home for the festivities to come.

Scott's wedding gift

Unfortunately when Scott and Megan got married, Sean and I were unable to attend their wedding. So I told Scott that he would get his wedding gift, an afghan, when we came out for Christmas. I didn't start it in time to finish it before I came out so I had to work on it while I was there.

Here are a couple pictures of the final product. I love how it turned out. It was a lot bigger then I had planned it being but that is okay since both Scott and Megan are over 6'0ft tall.
Congratulations Scott and Megan!!

Birthday

After sledding, we headed back to the house for dinner and for hot chocolate.

Maia and Ezra were playing with some cars, when Ezra decided that he didn't want Maia to have the cars he was playing with, so he layed down on top of them.
Maia kept trying to get at he cars so she finally started pulling on his diaper and his shirt to get him off of the cars. We couldn't figure out what was going on until Ezra got up and took his cars wih him.
Dinner!
We had pizza and it was sure yummy!

Birthday cake! My mom made a delicious gluten free cake. I'm grateful to have a mom that is such a good cook!

If you can't read it it says 28.

Christmas Day

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Christmas morning started off with Maia waking up early, so we handed her a bag of food and letter her sit in bed with us. We did get her wrapped up to share a special gift with the Family. If you read her shirt you should get the message.

That's right we are expecting baby Dahlin number 2! At Christmas we were about 12 weeks along and were ready to share with everyone the big news!

I love this picture of my Mom with Maia. My mom was so excited once she read Maia shirt that she gave Maia a huge hug. Maia wasn't quite sure what was going on but she was a good sport about it.

Once we got the big surprise out of the way, we all gathered around the Christmas Tree to open gifts.

Maia wanted to get into everything but mostly she wanted to play with the birds.

Shannon (who is also expecting about 2 days before me), Cory and Ben.
Santa brought Maia a monkey for Christmas.
Grandma Nelson, Sparky and Maia.

Uncle Ben and Maia
We got Maia a stroller for Christmas and she loved it!

We decided we probably should have given it to her at the end because once she figured out what it was she didn't want to let go.

We also gave her some dolls that I had growing up. Unfortunately, she wasn't very interested in them at all.

Someday she might be.

Papa and Mom got new luggage.

More pictures of Maia with her stroller.
She discovered it on the ramp and had a lot of fun playing with it and gravity.

Christmas breakfast.

Bradley, Angie and Crew came over later that day and so did Joseph and his family.

This Christmas day was really quite wonderful. I'm so grateful for my family and the joy and support they bring into my life. I'm grateful for the opportunity we had to be here with everyone and enjoy their company. Thank you Mom for putting up with everyone and for being such a wonderful host. You truly know how to fill a house and fill a table with such goodness!
