Last day in Baker and seeing Shannon

Thursday night Aaron, Ben Maia and I, went swimming at the Baker City public pool. Maia loves to swim so it was great to be able to get in the water.

The next morning Aaron and Maia spent time playing again. Aaron spent the night since his parent were busy with school. Carrie was in her finals week and was working on getting her art ready for her art exhibit.

Later on Friday we headed off to Boise to take Maia and I to the air port.

Since we were flying out early, we decided to spend the night and Shannon was kind enough to let us stay at her house. Maia wanted to get into everything and play with the cloths Shannon had out for her little boy.

We had to take a picture together since we are due only a two days apart!

We had such a nice visit and I already miss home but I am so grateful for family that is happy to have us come home to visit.

Hanging out with Bradley's family

Before we left to go back home, Maia and I took the opportunity to drive to La Grande to have dinner with Bradley and his family.

Jason is so good with Maia

Maia loved trying to snuggle with Jamin but we had to keep an eye on her.

Dinner was amazing and the after dinner entertainment was just as good.

So good to see them and spend time as a family.

The next morning Maia wanted visit with Grandma Nelson and play with her walker and roll around on her floor. I think grandma enjoyed her company.

Baker City Park

Growing up, we had many many outing to this park and many fond memories were made on some of the play equipment. This summer the city will be tearing out all the old play equipment and putting in newer and safer play area. (Who needs safer these were fun! ;))
I wanted to get some pictures with Maia before the old merry go round was no longer there.

She wasn't quite sure what to think of it.

Mom had to hop on too.

Then mom and Maia had fun with the swings, while grandma Nelson watched in the background.

I am sad that the park is changing but I know it is for the best and the children of baker will make new memories of this park.

Easter Sunday was pretty low key as most the activities happened the night before. We did say good by to Scott and Megan after church and then Maia got to spend more time with Aaron.

We also went out side with Ben to take some pictures to send to Sean.

Picture of the cousins

More cousin pictures. Again it can be hard to get a good picture with such little ones. I think we got one good one ;)

Grandma and Grandpa's Easter gathering

Later on in the day, everyone started coming over to mom and papa's house for a another Easter egg hunt and for Easter dinner.
Scott and Megan showed up first.

Then Bradley and his family.

Maia was excited to see Jason.

All the cousins started playing together. Maia wanted to do everything the older. Boys were doing and they were so kind to let her play with them.

Baby Jamin. The newest addition to the Nelson clan

Skyping with uncle Cory.

Cory is stationed in Kuate right now and is supposed to be home sometime in July. We are hoping he makes it home in time for the birth of his baby. Shannon is due with a little boy on the 14th of July. Two days befor me.

Here are some pictures from the family Easter egg hunt.

We color coded the eggs so each kid would know which ones were there's and so we could hide some of them better then others.

Maia was excited to find suckers that had grown out of the ground.

Aaron and Jason did great with the hunt and helped Maia find some of her eggs that uncle Ben hid to well for an 18 month old to find.

Jason kept telling me that his chocolate bunny pooped a jelly bean.

Maia got a hold of one of the suckers and she was loving it! We made her sit down to eat it but she ended up making a mess anyway.

This is one of Maia's favorite books at my parents house.

Nona and Jamin

Great grandma Nelson and Jamin.

Maia playing with A light saber. Aaron had hit her with while they were playing so to avoid hitting her, Jason and Aaron let Maia play with it. They thought it was a pretty good compromise. I wasn't going to argue.

All in all we had a wonderful evening and I'm glad Bradley and Angie were able to make it!
