Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we were invited over to the Rieben house for dinner. They live in Dayton which is about an hour west of Columbus. We had a really good time hanging out with them and their lovely family. It was so nice of them to invite us and give us a place to go for this holiday.

Before dinner, all of the Rieben kids preformed a song for us and each of them had a part. I was really cute and they did an excellent job.

The Rieben's raised turkeys this year and this was one of them. It was really good and it always means more when you know where your food is coming from and the effort it took to get it on the table.

There were lots of toys for Maia to play with.

Maia loved Even and loved playing with his legs. We had to keep a close eye on her because she could get a little rough.

Even shared his turkey hat with Maia and she wasn't quite sure about it.

All in all we had a wonderful Thanksgiving and it is always fun when you can share it with family and friends.

Skyping dates

Every Sunday we Skype with Sean's parents. Maia loves is and when she hears the ringing on the computer she gets really excited.

She loves seeing her Grandparents and now that she is walking she will stare/talk to them for about 5 min, then she is off to conquer the next big thing.

Visiting Maria, Mitch and Brenton

Over the Presidents weekend we made the trek up to Wisconsin to visit Maria, Mitch and Brenton. Maria was scheduled to be induced about 10 day after our visit and was expecting Mitch's family over Thanksgiving so we decided to come up this weekend. It was so good to see them and Maia and Brenton have decided that they are going to be best friends!

They loved playing together.

They did have to learn to play together and Brenton had to be okay with sharing his toys. There were a few tears in the process but they learned how to work together.

They both loved to read books! (Hard to believe Maria is 36 weeks pregnant in this picture)

We put them next to each other while eating and they started playing footsies.

Brenton has this fun little car and Maia liked it too, of course.

We had such a good time! It was so nice to see Maria's family and to chat and have such a visit. Mitch and Sean had a good time hanging out too. It was well worth the 11 hour trip!

My Uncle Jon had a conference in Cleveland so he drove down to say hi and spend the night. We took him on a tour of the campus.

Oh and I cut my hair! I cut off about 12 inches and donated it.
