Puerto Rico Day 9

After chilling most of the day before because of my foot, I really didn't want to spend the rest of my vacation just sitting around, we decided to go exploring. Michelle had heard of these caves that were free to go to and we figured it would be a fun place to go check out. Little did we know what we would encounter...

A tiny one lane windy road, requiring us to honk before every turn.

Beautiful views...

Using a makeshift sling for Maia because I forgot out front pack at home...

Crazy cousins...

Ginormous foliage...

Deadly snakes...

The cave of doom...

Kids who were brave enough to venture into the cave....

and a long hike back. We didn't think that it was as long as it was and weren't as prepared as we should have been but over all it was pretty fun.

After the hike we headed back to the apartment where Uncle Jon decided it would be fun to play hairdresser. Maia was great about showing off her new hairdo.

This is the apartment the Jon and Michelle were renting and the complex they were living in.

It was a one minuet walk to the beach.

The place they stayed was called Isla Bela.

Besides the mosquitoes, this place was very pleasant and I could see why people would enjoy living here. I was sad that this was our last night but so very grateful for the opportunity to be able to be here and enjoy family in such beautiful surroundings.
