Puerto Rico Day 5

Today was spent surfing and exploring. Sean started off by getting a surfing lesson in the pool from Uncle Jon. He did really well and I was able to catch this gem of Sean up.

Into the big blue ocean and waiting for the perfect wave.

Uncle Jon catching a wave.

These pictures turned out blurry but I still had to post them to prove that he got up and to watch him crash.

A few of us walked to the beach and this was taken on our walk.

I told Sean I would swim out there to meet him when we got there to support him in this new adventure.

Sean did really well on his first time surfing. He was able to get up on the board a few time and had so much fun that he wants to do it again sometime!

After surfing we loaded up in the car and headed to Ponce. When we got there we went to check out this cool old church has parts of it that are over 500 years old.

While we were in there it started poring down rain!

The post that hold up the buildings are wood but they are as hard as cement. When they built this church they carved the posts and put them in place while they were green because once they dry, they become extremely hard. These trees take about 300 year grow so the ones in this building are really old.

Sadie wanted to get her hair wet so she stuck her head out in the rain.

They had these beautiful tile on the steps leading up to the stage.

What a cute family.

This is a fire house that was built in 1883. At first I thought it was quite a funny little building and very awkward but it grows on you a little bit.

This is how Maia likes to ride in her stroller now.

It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the park around the fire house and catholic church building.

After we hung out a bit we headed back. We made a pit stop at Applebees for dinner and then it was off to home to get the kiddos to bed.
