Puerto Rico Day 1

Getting up at 3:00 am in the morning isn't usually my idea of fun but today it did serve a purpose. We were up, out the door by 3:45 and on our way to the airport. The three days before consisted of packing and cleaning and getting ready for our trip to Puerto Rico! Well by 3:15 Maia had woken up which was perfect and allowed me to be able to feed her and get her into her car seat with out to much trouble. She was a gem because she slept the whole way to the hotel where we parked our car. We got to the hotel at 6:32 and just missed the shuttle so we had to wait till 7 for the next one. That made me a little nervous because our flight was to leave at 8:17 and I didn't know how long it would take us to get through the airport.

I was a bit nervous going through because since we took the stroller we had to take elevators and put it through security but I will say it was nice having the stroller so we didn’t have to carry her everywhere.  We made it to our gate in time to be one of the last people to load. It was perfect. That way we didn’t have to be confined to the plane while waiting for people to load. Well once we got on the plane Sean took his dramomine and then he was out. I started feeding Maia and then she was out. It was quite pleasant. We had a whole bench to ourselves which was nice. Our flight was about 3.5 hours long and we landed in San Juan Puerto Rico.

We were hanging out at the car rental place.
The Ocean!

Once we got the rental car we took off to explore old San Juan. Uncle Jon wanted us to see the forts.
This was used as a guide point for sailors. Its hard to tell but it looked like it had a bunch of clay pots broken  and plastered to the side.

The fort and the light house.

El Morro.

Chilling with daddy in the stroller.

The beacon light.

A really cool triangular stair case. View from the top.

Uncle Jon posting a picture to Facebook.

There was a really cool design in the cement.

The triangular stairs from the bottom.

The first telephone booth .

This is at the second part of the fort that is about a mile away from the first one.

This is where we met Michelle and the kids.

Maia loves her aunt Michelle...

and her cousins!

They paint there cobblestone blue here.

Chilling while waiting for our food. It took for ever to get our food and I think by this point everyone was pretty tired!

After dinner we drove for about an hour to get back to Michelle and Jon's house in Isabella Puerto Rico.
