The Sunday we got back from my parents, everyone came over to Sean's parents house for dinner and opening Christmas gifts.
Maia and J had fun playing with everyone's phone especially grandpas phone.
Many times one phone just wasn't enough.
I think J was finally tired of Maia taking over so he left.
Mom ( Kathy) had arranged his fun little gift game where you read a story and you pass the gifts around according to the story.
Maia ended up with a football blanket that she ended up giving to J and she ended up taking the rieghndeer that Mel got.
Then Maia and J opened gifts from grandma and grandpa. J got a giant lion that Maia loved but J didn't want her to have.
So with some quick thinking, aunt Brit brought up her large tiger and let Maia play with that.
The next day, Maia enjoyed her time hanging out with grandpa.
And giving grandpa a different type of work out.
Maia and some time with her daddy...
And his phone.
Watching sports together.
New Year's Day is pretty chill at the dahlin home. It usually consists of lots of football, games, and fun fruity drinks made by dad (terry). This year we also went to the movies. We went to go see Saving Mr Banks. This was Maia's first time in a movie theater and let's just say most of our time was spent in the walk way of the theater. She really didn't care about the movie but wanted to take her water bottle and draw on the floor with it. I caught most of the movie and thought it was good but I think the next movie we watch, we'll find some one to watch Maia.
Grandma and grandpa time
And grandpa's phone time.
Sean didn't get to hang around too many days longer after New Year's Day because he had to get back for school to start. The night before he left, grandma and grandpa had one last gift for Maia. She got an alligator who popped up balls and they came out of its mouth.
She really loved playing with the balls and with gma and pa.
The night before Sean left we went out to Texas road house. At this point everyone knew that I am pregnant and I'm glad because I was heading into the point of my pregnancy that I get the most sick. Lets just say that going out to eat didn't go over too well for me. With all the different smells and food running about, it made my stumach turn over. I ended up going out to the car to get some air and to lay down. I'm so glad everyone was so understanding and ok with eating without me. It is one of the joys of pregnancy and I wouldn't have changed it.
The next morning Sean took off to head home and Maia and I stayed with Sean's parents for a few more days before we headed to see my sister Maria.
